Northern Pacific Coast Tour

Day 1

Arrive to San José; transfer to Hotel Don Fadrique. If time premits, and that depends on your time of arrival, we can do the San Ramón to Puntarenas descent ride and stay in a hotel in Puntarenas.

Day 2

Take the ferry to Naranjo; ride Naranjo to Paquera to Tambor (3-4 hrs) on dirt and paved roads sleep in the Hotel Barceló, Tambor.

Day 3

Ride Tambor to Montezuma, Montezuma to Cabo Blanco, Cabo Blanco to Mal País (3-4 hrs); dirt roads; sleep Tropico Latino, Mal País.

Day 4

Option of horseback riding on this day; if not, ride Mal País to Islita (5-6 hrs); dirt roads with some steep climbs; sleep Hotel Punta Islita.

Day 5

Ride Islita to Garza (4-5 hrs); dirt roads with some steep hills; sleep Hotel Villagio Morada, Garza.

Day 6

Ride Garza to Playa Negra (6-8 hrs); dirt roads; sleep at your Hotel in Playa Negra.

Day 7

Beach day (surfing or sea kayaking), sleep at a hotel in Playa Negra; or ride Playa Negra to Tamarindo Beach (2-3 hrs); sleep Tamarindo Beach Hotel.

Day 8

If rode previous day to Tamarindo Beach then do beach day (surfing or sea kayaking); sleep Tamarindo Beach Hotel.

Day 9

Beach day; transfer to San José, Hotel Don Fadrique
