Day 1

Transfer from your San José hotel to La Fortuna. We will be staying at Hotel Volcano
Lodge.
Transfer: 3 hour bus ride

Lunch
3:10 p.m.
Pick up for a tour to the Arenal Volcano and then we will go to the Tabacón Hot Springs.
Entrance fee is included.
Day 2
7:00
- 8:30 a.m.
Breakfast
9:00 a.m.
Tour to "Rio Fortuna" waterfall.
12:00
Lunch
2:00 p.m.
In the afternoon we can either take a tour to the "Cavernas de Venado" (Deer
Caves) or take a Sunset Lake Cruise.
Day 3
7:00
- 7:45 a.m.
Breakfast
8:00 a.m.
Birdwatching tour to "Caño Negro". After a 2 hour bus ride we will take a boat
ride on the canals, looking for birds such as egrets, great blue herons, toucans, and, if
we are lucky, even the biggest bird in the area, the Jabirú. Look for sloths, monkeys and
iguanas. We will be back to Volcano
Lodge around 4:30 p.m.

Day 4
7:00 - 8:30 a.m.

9:00 a.m.
After having breakfast we will go back to San José.
Transfer: 3 hour bus ride
